Slyck Forum Legal Threat Discussion
Since early 2007 the Slyck forums have hosted a series of very active discussions related to the activity of companies involved in speculative invoicing. Generally the most 'reliable' forum for discussions of this subject; some others can contain naive (and potentially dangerous) postings.

General links
Citizens Advice Bureau
Consumer Focus, that was closely involved with some of the early work on the latest round of speculative invoicing, has been liaising with Citizens Advice. They should therefore be equipped to provide sensible advice. The exact nature of that advice isn't yet public knowledge, so it cannot be guaranteed by this site at the current time.

BeingThreatened
BeingThreatened was the second major speculative invoicing support site (after it's predecessor BeingScammed was forced offline). This support group played a key role in supporting the letter recipients of Davenport Lyons, ACS:Law and Tilly Bailey Irvine.
The site has not been updated since these operations ceased (the solicitors' of the former two firms were suspended from practising by the Law Society and the owner of the second firm was forced into bankruptcy). The site still contains a wealth of useful material particularly materials which provide some history of the development of speculative invoicing.

Law firms
Please note that we are not willing to give personal recommendations of any legal firms, but we do know that these two firms have experience and have been successful in this type of work. One firm is based in Manchester and one in Southampton but both have worked on cases in the Patents County County in London (which is where the tiny number of court-issued claims tend to end up).
Ralli
Ralli are a legal firm with considerable experience in dealing with speculative invoicing. They have acted for clients against several firms that have been involved in speculative claims.

Lawdit Solicitors
Lawdit were one of the first firms to be actively involved in defending against speculative invoices. They have responded to claims on behalf of a large number of clients and, in a limited number of cases, have represented them in court.
